Hosts Alesha and Dax kick off their fifth episode of Podsauce with a segment Alesha likes to call Murder Most Foul. For her fellow true crime fanatics, she suggests “To Live and Die in LA” from Tenderfoot TV and Audacy’s Cadence13. Now with two seasons, this bingeable podcast shares the story of a young actress who disappeared from her Hollywood apartment.

Next, Alesha shares her pick of the week that’s not murder-adjacent, which is the film podcast “Tribeca Talks.” She talks about her favorite episode with filmmaker Ava DuVernay, known for Selma, 13th, A Wrinkle in Time, and When They See Us, and hip-hop musician Q-Tip.

This episode of Podsauce features podcaster and former wrestling announcer Ryan Satin of “Out of Character with Ryan Satin.” He talks about his career path through wrestling and why he started his podcast, which interviews WWE stars out of character. Even if you’re not a wrestling fan, Ryan will get you excited about the sport. Ryan shares that he loves interview podcasts, which why he is so pumped to be on Podsauce. Some of the podcasts he loves at the moment include “WTF with Marc Maron,” “Happy Sad Confused,” and “The Art of Wrestling with Colt Cabana.”

After Ryan’s interview, Dax shares his pick for the week: “We Regret to Inform You: The Rejection Podcast.” This podcast dives in the lives of people like Lisa Kudrow, Kurt Warner, and Tyler Perry – people who found success after years of rejection and failure. Dax recommends Gal Gadot’s episode, which talks about her life before becoming Wonder Woman.

Podsauce’s next guests are Rachel Joravsky and Cody Wilkins from the podcast “Ain’t Nobody Checkin’ For Me”. Their podcast revolves around that elusive blue check mark and the question: is anybody checking for me? Rachel and Cody talk about the conception of their podcast and how social media affects people’s idea of success. They share some of their favorite podcasts, including Rachel’s father’s podcast “The Ben Joravsky Show,” and also “Black Men Can’t Jump [In Hollywood].”
