‘Baseball Isn’t Boring’ hits home runs in daily episodes covering MLB’s hottest topics
Baseball columnist, author, WEEI (WEEI-FM) broadcaster, and podcast host Rob ‘Bradfo’ Bradford is reminding us that baseball is far from boring on this Audacy podcast. He’s tackling sports news, hot topics, and headlines, bringing listeners on and off the diamond on “Baseball Isn’t Boring’s” daily episodes.
This podcast is based on Bradford and major league pitcher Joe Kelly’s brainchild – the “Baseball Isn’t Boring” campaign. The duo also co-authored the book, A Damn Near Perfect Game: Reclaiming America’s Pastime, set to release on February 28, 2023.
Kelly and Bradford ramped up their social media efforts in 2022 to highlight that “baseball is anything but boring.” Various sports stars including Clemson football head coach Dabo Swinney, MLB manager Joe Maddon, and Los Angeles Dodger Mookie Betts joined the brand’s social media rollout to share why baseball is still America’s favorite pastime. Fans can join the conversation on Twitter and Instagram – @bbisntboring.
Kelly joined Bradfo and Cooper ‘Coop’ Leonard as the podcast’s first guest. They chatted about baseball and “the spiciness that comes with soaking in the great game.” He also shared major league insights on the World Series, opinions on how players see the Astros, and more.
For over 130 episodes, guests have include sports stars or folks from the entertainment world sharing takes on baseball and other fan-centric topics. Episodes will feature round-table discussions, listener participation, social media integration, and video content.
Recent guests have included Padres shortstop Xander Bogaerts, Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto, TV announcer Don Orsillo, sportswriter Ken Rosenthal, San Francisco Giants Director of Pitching Brian Bannister, and more.
Of the project, Bradford said, “As we wrap up what has been a very ‘un-boring’ postseason, we’re thrilled to launch this fun new daily podcast to rally behind the great sport of baseball – America’s national pastime. I look forward to speaking with some of the biggest names in sports to prove that baseball is alive and thriving.”
