Run, don’t walk, to start bingeing the best 2022 Webby Award-winning podcasts
Rounds of applause all around! We were thrilled to see so many of our favorite shows score 2022 Webby Awards as the winners were rolled out on April 26. So, we’ve rounded-up some award-winning Podsauce favorites we think you’ll love. The awards honor outstanding work in the pod-o-sphere for categories including News & Politics, Best Host, and Best Limited Series.
“Back Issue” snagged a People’s Voice Winner Award for the Arts & Culture category, honoring an individual episode in narrative form, interviews, and conversation. “Song Exploder” won in several categories including Music, Arts & Culture, and Featured Guest for John Lennon’s episode.
“We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle” received Honoree awards in the Best Host and Arts & Culture categories. “Because of Anita” scored a Webby in the Public Service & Activism category and was a Diversity & Inclusion Honoree.
A slew of newly award-winning podcast hosts stopped by Podsauce last season. “And That’s Why We Drink” hosts Em Schulz and Christine Schiefer were the People’s Voice Winner for Comedy. “Was I In A Cult?” was the Webby Winner and People’s Voice Winner for a best single podcast episode in the Interview/Talk Show category. “Believe Her” host Justine van der Leun joined Podsauce in the fall. This series was a Crime & Justice Honoree.
Hats off to all winners! We’re looking forward to hearing Roy Wood Jr. host the 26th Annual Webby Award ceremony on May 16 in NYC.
