He told Guy how Amy Sedaris and Paul Dinello have influenced his work and shared how Stephen Colbert “the man” is similar to Stephen Colbert “the pundit.”
On the second episode, Tony award-winning actress Audra McDonald (Master Class, Ragtime, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill) shared how every new role still scares her. She has won the most Tonys out of all theater actors and has also earned 2 Grammys and an Emmy. Audra shared why her fear works for her, the lifelong journey to understand her characters, and what it was like to have her friend and mentor Stephen Sondheim produce one of her shows.
