‘On Fire with Jeff Probst: The Official Survivor Podcast’ ignites its post-show companion listen torch
Survivor host and show runner Jeff Probst ignites the torch once again for the reality show’s 44th season. This podcast is the ultimate companion listen for the Emmy award-winning reality series, releasing weekly episodes all season long. Probst is sharing behind-the-scenes stories, insight, secrets of how they create the show, and why everyone does what they do. On episodes, Probst will answer fans’ questions and “one lucky fan gets to tell him why he sucks” in a recurring segment.
Stream the podcast from the beginning if you’re watching along with the new season. Episodes run less than an hour on average, and Probst is frequently joined by special guests. The podcast is perfect for diehard fans and new listeners alike. It’s amazing to think back to the show’s beginnings in 2000 when reality TV shows were first kicking off. Fans will learn more from the producers’ points of view, how the castaways are selected, the inner workings of their art department, “all those idols and advantages,” and much more.
In the trailer, Probst said he realized this podcast is diving into topics the series hasn’t previously answered, and this is their first companion podcast. Episodes will touch on each episode and dive way beyond recapping the action on screen.
The podcast’s first episode was all about “GETTING TO DAY ONE!” Learn what preparations had to happen before Survivor started and 18 new castaways were just getting ready for adventures. Evacuated player Bruce Perreault chatted with Probst on this episode and listeners met the podcast’s co-hosts Brittany Crapper (long-time Survivor supervising producer) and Jay Wolff (podcast producer).
