The series kicked off as bonus episodes on the “Murdaugh Murders Podcast,” analyzing the family’s crimes, Alex Murdaugh’s double murder trial, and his co-conspirators’ cases. These early episodes are also included in “Cup of Justice’s” feed. Since January 2023, the podcast has released weekly episodes running less than 90 minutes on average. Investigative journalists Matney and Farrell are joined by attorney Bland to analyze cases and news, presented by Luna Shark.

The co-hosts analyzed the South Carolina Office of Disciplinary Counsel, updates from Alex Murdaugh’s first week on trial, and they shared thoughts on the evidence.

Leading up to Alex Murdaugh’s trial, episodes discussed the jurors, what evidence will be allowed in court, what these charges mean for Alex’s victims, and chatter around the case. Bland addressed the rumor that Maggie Murdaugh spoke with a divorce lawyer before she was murdered, the financial crimes Judge Newman could add as evidence, and how PMPED’s encounter with Alex Murdaugh right before the murders was kept secret for so long. In another recent episode, Farrell shared some info on Brian Walshe, who was charged with murdering his wife.
