How long before a body starts to smell? Can you stop a body from decomposing? These are just some of the questions Brian Walshe searched on New Year’s Day before his wife, 39-year-old Ana Walshe, was reported missing on January 4. Ana was last spotted by her husband, Brian Walshe, who alleged she was leaving their home in Cohasset, Massachusetts for a “work emergency.” Ana did not board a plane, nor was she seen again. Her body has not been found, and her husband was charged with murder.

Police announced they had ample evidence to charge Brian with murder. This included incriminating internet searches, surveillance footage, and genetic material. Brian maintains his innocence and pled not guilty.

True Crime Today’s “Finding Ana | This Disappearance of Ana Walshe” details the case and chats with investigators, forensic psychologists, and others involved to tell the story firsthand. The series is searching for answers, learning more about Brian, possible murder motives, and the circumstances around Ana’s disappearance in each episode.

Stream the podcast from the most recent episode for timely updates. Since mid-January, the podcast has released weekly episodes that run less than 30 minutes on average.

Ana’s real estate portfolio was worth $2.8 million. Brian also searched “how long for someone to be missing to inherit,” pointing to one possible motive.

A recent episode welcomed forensic psychiatrist Dr. Ian Lamoureux to analyze how Brian Walshe was all smiles in front of cameras as he was escorted in handcuffs to court. Forensic psychologist Kate Wallinga discussed Ana and Brian’s marriage, analyzed Brian’s court behavior, and dove into his past.

Another episode featured legal analysis with trial attorney Anne Bremner to share how Brian’s criminal past could impact his murder charges. Clinical/forensic psychologist and private investigator Dr. Joni Johnston analyzed Brian’s psyche and how this tragedy will affect Ana’s three kids.
