Maybe you’ve heard of a little podcast called “Girls Gotta Eat.” The girls in question? None other than Ashley Hesseltine and Rayna Greenberg, and they are ready to talk all things sex, dating, and relationships. Along with their slew of professional guests, they’ve been taking the podcasting world by storm for years, essentially becoming the blueprint that all sex podcasts are aspiring to.

With over 200 episodes, “Girls Gotta Eat” has been educating and entertaining listeners on all things sexual health, sexual knowledge, and sexual…sex? You get it. They amass 2.5 million downloads per month, and before 2020 hit, they’d done nearly 50 live shows. They release hour-long episodes every Monday, and each is better than the last.

Topics range from fertility to sexual fantasies to relationship red flags and loving yourself. You can learn about BDSM from a dominatrix, or you can learn the true power of confidence with Mike Johnson from “Talking It Out.” They’ve chatted about fetishes, why we have “phases” of different types of partners, guys not going down on their girlfriends, and why people fake orgasms. They’ve gotten serious about topics like breast cancer, mental health, and abortion. Their episodes expertly toe the line of downright hilarious and genuinely educational.

With Dr. Ramani Durvasula, a clinical psychologist, professor of psychology, and best-selling author, Ashley and Rayna talked about narcissists, how to know if you’re dating a narcissist, and what to do if you are dating one. Dr. Durvasula explains why people are attracted to narcissists, the clinical differences between narcissists, sociopaths, and psychopaths, and gives us warning signs to watch out for when it comes to them.

“Girls Gotta Eat” has had on a slew of medical professionals to talk about topics like fertility, from egg-freezing, sperm-donating, and much more (shout out to their episode with the OB/GYN to the stars in “Spilling the Fertility Tea feat. Dr. Sean Henry”). Emily Nagoski, Ph.D thrills us in her episode titled “The Science of Orgasms (and What’s Blocking Yours) feat. Author and Educator Emily Nagoski, Ph.D.” Learn about asexuality with activist Yasmin Benoit, or listen to Ashley and Rayna talk about what to do when you hate your friend’s partner (with plenty of real life examples).

Their long list of guests include people like Nicole Byer, Andrew Schulz, Dr. Emily Borse of “Sex With Emily,” Senator Elizabeth Warren, Case Kenny, Nikki Glaser, and Nev Schulman. You can find episodes with adult film star Asa Akira, Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief Jessica Pels, and Peloton instructor and founder of S.P.E.A.K. Tunde Oyenin. There is no shortage of experts in their given fields.

But, besides being an incredible sexual advice podcast, it is, above all else, a comedy podcast. Ashley and Rayna are downright hilarious, inclusive, relatable, and brutally, brutally honest about all things sex, dating, and relationships. Mondays have never felt this good. Check out “Girls Gotta Eat” at the start of every week!
