iHeartRadio Podcast Awards 2022: the winners we love from last night’s ceremony
The iHeartRadio Podcast Awards 2022 live-streamed last night on YouTube, and many Podsauce favorites won. The ceremony honored the year’s best podcasts, creators, and personalities across the industry. During the ceremony, celebrity guest appearances included Martha Stewart, Brian Baumgartner, and Will Ferrell. Dua Lipa shared about her new podcast, “At Your Service.”
This year’s winner’s circle included SmartLess for Best Comedy Podcast and Best Ad Read, Nicole Byer for Best Female Overall Host, and Sam Sanders for Best Male Overall Host. “Scam Goddess” won the Best Crime Podcast award, the Best News Podcast was awarded to “The Daily,” “The Bill Simmons Podcast” won for Best Sports Podcast, and “How I Built This with Guy Raz” won the Best Business and Finance Podcast award.
We were thrilled about “We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle‘s” win in the Best Advice/Inspirational Podcast category. Other wins were “Bridgewater” for Best Fiction Podcast, “Inside Trader Joe’s” for Best Branded Podcast, “Films to Be Buried With with Brett Goldstein” for Best Emerging Podcast, and “Pod Save America” for Best Political Podcast.
The Podcast of the Year award went to Sarah Marshall and Michael Hobbes’ “You’re Wrong About.” This category was fan-voted via Twitter. The Audible Audio Pioneer Award was given to “My Favorite Murder.”
