Buckle up for the sci-fi series, “Black Box,” an action-packed adventure for fans of Netflix classics like Stranger Things and Dark. “Black Box” is complete with time travel, friendship, ambition, and exploring the unknown. Episode one opens as a pilot crash-lands a craft we soon learn is anything but ordinary. The pilot says she is one of the few people who can save the world. Listeners soon learn the grave danger everyone is in, and what forces the world needs to be saved from.

The journey begins when teenagers Gabe, Logan, Riley, and Charles form a search party to find their missing drone. They trek through the woods and stumble upon a mysterious wreckage. They discovered their initials carved in a fort, and the handwriting looked like Riley’s. At this point, the friends began joking about time travel, questioning if the carvings were indeed theirs from the future.

The four teens realize they have found a time travel machine and soon uncover a black box hidden inside the wreckage, filled with recordings from the future, and are unsure what actions to take. With knowledge that a disaster is about to occur, the teens find out if they can do anything to stop it and are propelled into an unforeseen series of events.

When the time travel inventor forces the teenagers to make a run for it, they work together to unveil the nefarious plan set by the scientist and military general. This podcast is also comparable to 1985’s iconic film, Back to the Future.

This series stars Joel McHale as the mad scientist, Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) as the military general, and time travel inventor Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones). The four teenagers are played by Michael Cimino (Love, Victor), Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Chosen Jacobs (IT), and Jacob Bertrand (Cobra Kai). Their dynamic is reminiscent of the folks from Stranger Things, especially through their walkie talkie communications and playful banter.

“Black Box” is presented by REVERB and created by Brian Siegele, who co-produces with Chase Kinser. The first two episodes premiered on November 9. Tune in for new, weekly episodes.
