The Reasonable Doubt Podcast

Listen to ‘The Reasonable Doubt Podcast’

“The Reasonable Doubt Podcast” is a reexamination of the murder investigations from the hit Identity show Reasonable Doubt. Reasonable Doubt is dedicated to uncovering the truth behind the questionable convictions that are, unfortunately, all too common in the judicial system. Retired Birmingham homicide detective Chris Anderson and defense attorney Fatima Silva investigate the cases of the wrongfully convicted.

On ‘The Reasonable Doubt Podcast’, Anderson and Silva re-examine the cases from their Investigation Discovery series. They provide exclusive insight from their episodes, give updates on where the case is now, and explain what went into their final decisions. The podcast also gives exclusive insight on what didn’t make the episode and behind-the-scenes happenings from their investigations.

The first two episodes of the highly anticipated second season are the cases of Justin Lunsford and Ken Andersen. Lunsford was convicted of murdering an Arizona woman whom he had hooked up with. Her body was found after their night together, resulting in Lunsford’s conviction. Convinced that his conviction is wrong, his family is hoping that Anderson and Silva will prove their son’s innocence.

Their other case with Andersen is similar. Andersen was convicted of murdering his best friend in 2008 on the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota. With the many oddities of the case and the difficult task of analyzing relationships, the two investigators have their work cut out for them. Andersen’s case also proves to be one of the most challenging that Anderson and Silva had ever been presented with, and a phone call from Andersen’s close friend makes it that much more difficult.

For any true crime fan, this is as true as it gets. “The Reasonable Doubt Podcast” is a look at the nitty-gritty details of a justice system that is filled with innocent people who were failed. Proper reinvestigations can reopen their cases and free them, and that what Anderson and Silva try to do. Listen to the first two episodes of Season 2 of “The Reasonable Doubt Podcast,” and tune in every Tuesday for new episodes after Monday’s new Reasonable Doubt episodes on the Identity Discovery channel.
