From vlogs to pods: 10 podcasts made by your favorite YouTubers

Since 2005, YouTube has continued to hold its place as a go-to resource and rabbit hole for videos and content. Vlogging and podcasting soar in popularity ranks as both mediums connect people from all over the world with so much to share. It’s only natural for content gurus to experiment with additional platforms of expression and creation.

We’re seeing more and more YouTubers organically branching out into podcasts. In addition, many of the episodes have video versions on YouTube. The majority of the shows we’ve selected below also feature bonus scene videos and outtakes of each audio episode posted to their respective channels.

Are you a YouTube fan who doesn’t always have time to watch your favorite channels? Need to listen while you’re working on something else and can’t devote your full attention to a screen? Or need a total break from screen-watching? We’ve chosen some podcasts created by YouTubers. Some are OG YouTubers, others are newer to YouTubing.

A lot of the podcast’s material is behind-the-scenes content from their YouTube channel. Latest episodes spoke about their past employers, David Dobrik, and conspiracy theories.

Carefully Reckless with Jess Hilarious

The Black Effect Network and iHeartRadio present “Carefully Reckless with Jess Hilarious.” The comedian and actress Jessica Moore tackles topics ranging from entertainment to politics. She shares her viewpoints on subjects like family gossip, financial independence, and betrayal. The show’s format also includes “Jess With The Mess” segments dedicated to the latest buzz-worthy topics. New episodes are posted weekly.

Ear Biscuits

Mythical & Ramble’s “Ear Biscuits” is created by YouTubers Rhett and Link from the daily channel, Good Mythical Morning. They also collaborated on the book, Book of Mythicality. The weekly podcast’s episodes explore Internet-based topics and entertainment. Link recently revisited his RV trip that failed and other vacation snafus. In June, Rhett and Link did a two-part episode on their Enneagram numbers and how they impact their lives.

Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain

Ramble’s “Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain” is hosted by the popular YouTuber. The podcast lives up to its name since any discussion is fair game for the show. Emma has revealed life stories and she provides advice sessions on topics like how to achieve your goals. She shares her thoughts and feelings on weekly episodes. New episodes are released on Thursdays.

Only Friends

“Only Friends” releases weekly episodes hosted by millennial friends and content creators Carly and Erin. The topics range from their lives to current events and other miscellaneous subjects. They used to vlog on Youtube full-time and wanted a change of pace with podcasting. In addition, video versions of the podcast’s episode are posted on YouTube every Thursday. My Brother, My Brother, and Me

The McElroy brothers Griffin, Justin, and Travis have quite the fan following. “My Brother, My Brother, and Me” takes the format of their YouTube channel and translates it to podcasting. As self-proclaimed experts, they provide life advice. Most episodes are under an hour in length. If you’re a fan of the family, they created another series which may be of interest. The brothers recruited their dad to collaborate on “The Adventure Zone,” a comedic fictional podcast.

Psychobabble with Tyler Oakley & Korey Kuhl

This show is created by Tyler Oakley, Korey Kuhl, and Audacy’s Cadence13. Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl are best friends who podcast and chat it up! The not-so psycho, crazy babble and banter-worthy vibe of this podcast is super comedic. You may have already watched Tyler Oakley on YouTube or heard about his advocacy and activism for the LGBTQIA+ community. In the podcast, he and Korey gossip, tell stories, and delve into pop culture news. Most episodes are under 45 minutes in length.

Recent episodes discussed how the hosts started their clothing line. They share tips on improving mental health, relationships, and what they’re currently learning about.

VIEWS with David Dobrik & Jason Nash

Listen to ‘VIEWS with David Dobrik & Jason Nash’

YouTuber David Dobrik and vlogger Jason Nash host “VIEWS” and go behind the scenes of their YouTubing ways. They show their fans what life is really like when the cameras stop rolling. With new episodes on Tuesdays, the hosts are often joined by special guests such as musicians Diplo and Dillon Francis, content creators Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, and singer Halsey.

SmoshCast

Listen to ‘SmoshCast’

Created in 2019 by host Ian Hecox, Ramble’s SmoshCast is based on the concept of the sketch comedy YouTube channel. Ian is joined by guests, Smosh cast members, and fellow YouTubers. All episodes feature the video version on its YouTube channel. The show went on hiatus at the end of 2020 and returned in May for a special episode.
