Listen to ‘Last Podcast On The Left’

A podcast that needs no introduction, “Last Podcast On The Left” covers all of the horror that the world has to offer. Both real and fake. From serial killers and cults, to demons and cryptids, to hauntings and legends, Ben Kissel, Marcus Parks and Henry Zebrowski are bringing us into the dark underbelly of humanity.

Every Friday, the trio spends 60-90 minutes giving us a taste of the gruesome and ghoulish: from the Black Plague, to the Gainsville Ripper, to the torturous conditions and infamous escapes of Alcatraz. And on every Wednesday, we are treated with Side Stories about the week’s true crime news. With a hearty sense of humor, “Last Podcast On The Left” has become a cult classic and one of the top podcasts worldwide.

B-Team cryptids

The trio wastes no time jumping into their story of the week. With just enough banter to keep us chuckling throughout, they dive into the guts of their story. Recently they covered “single-use cryptids,” or cryptids that have only been seen once or twice. There have been thousands of cryptids reportedly seen under three times, unlike a Big Foot or Jersey Devil or Mothman. There’s the Sandown Clown, not to be confused with the Phantom Clown Flap of 1981 after John Wayne Gacy’s trial, and the Screaming Scarecrows of Corona, New Mexico.

Satanic Panic

Maybe you’re a Satanic cult kind of person, though. They’ve recently been covering, with much contempt, Mike Warnke, the architect of the Satanic Panic/falsified ex-Satanic high priest/comedian. He would preach to Evangelical crowds about the evils of Satanic cults, how they skinned people alive and ripped children limb from limb. Maybe not exactly that, but gruesome, falsified stories that spun Christians into more of a panic and convinced teenagers to graffiti lots of pentagrams. Between the McMartin preschool trial and over 12,000 accusations of occult sacrifices nationwide, police have never been able to substantiate claims of an organized cult abuse.

But that did not stop Warnke! He garnered national attention when he appeared in ABC’s primetime 20/20 segment on Satanism in 1985. In it, he shared the clothing used in Satanic ceremonies, a scar allegedly indicating where he was cut so his blood could be used in Satanic ceremonies, and what drew him to Satanism. Investigators also found that he falsified his attendance a Satanic ritual with Charles Manson, and in fact found evidence of fraud in his bank accounts and discovered he’s had a number of marriages, affairs, and divorces.

Needless to say, he’s a detestable guy. But “Last Podcast On The Left” digs even further into his history: from his stand-up comedy to his influence on Christianity today. For a concoction of thrilling chills, expertly researched history, and one of the funniest podcasts you’ll ever listen to, check out “Last Podcast On The Left.” That is, if you haven’t already been listening to them like the rest of us.
