Speak.Studio’s “We Have Notes with Abby Gardner” is a beautiful space for the pop culture-obsessed to revel in fandom, pass notes, and hear the latest entertainment news. In conversations with guests who are just as passionate about culture as host Abby, they’ll cover music, TV, movies, and more.

Start the series in any order, with the latest episodes covering more recent news. Since 2021, Abby has released over 50 episodes running less than 90 minutes on average.

Host Abby Gardner joined Podsauce and shared that listening to her podcast is like joining friends at brunch for fun and free-flowing chats. Abby gushed about some of her fave topics including Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and Station Eleven, just to name a few. Although Abby is a self-identifying Gen X-er, she has millennial and Gen Z pop culture tendencies. She’ll often discuss cultural moments from the ’90s and how they link to our modern era.

Abby’s media background segued well into a podcast that began as a newsletter by the same name. Her friends from the industry (writers, stylists, editors, pop culture gurus, etc.) are happy to join episodes and translate some of their text conversations to the audio space. Abby told Podsauce that in addition to chatting with friends, some of her favorite guests have included Jessica Rhoades (Station Eleven‘s executive producer) and actor/writer/producer Robinne Lee.

As soon as Harry’s House dropped, Abby shared her opinions on the album, Harry Styles’ Zane Lowe and Howard Stern interviews, then dissected the record song-by-song. In another episode, Abby’s friend (and co-founder of Good Clean Wine) Courtney Dunlop chatted about the classic film The Neverending Story.

Abby is sometimes joined by fellow podcasters like the host of “Reality Life with Kate Casey.” Kate and Abby talked about cults like NXIVM, the Real Housewives of New York, what it takes to be a housewife, and more.

Some of Abby’s favorite podcasts include “Who? Weekly” and “Bitch Sesh.” She loves “The Deep Dive with Jessica St. Clair and June Diane Raphael,” and hopes her podcast captures the same positive vibe.
