In December 2021, Podsauce headed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the Audacy Beach Festival. Alesha and Dax were stoked to check out the fantastic lineup of artists including AJR, Steve Aoki, and girl in red, just to name a few. On this episode of Podsauce in Miami, our hosts chatted with Jeremy Taché from the sports interview podcast, “Miami Mic’d Up.” In this episode, Jeremy shared what brings him joy, his recent engagement, how his dreams are coming true, and what listeners can expect from the podcast.
Dax shared his Odd Pod pick this week for animal lovers, “Can I Pet Your Dog?” With over 325 episodes, hear all about fur babies from the hosts and guests. Dax and Alesha shared their opinions on dogs in strollers and pet bjørns, which they frequently spot in LA.
Alesha shared her podcast pick, “U Up?,” as she said she is navigating the “dark and dreary” waters of the dating space. The hosts got a kick out of the title, referring to the ubiquitous text message. Alesha appreciates how the hosts comedically share dating dos and don’ts on 315+ episodes covering topics like friends with benefits, using the apps, and more.
Jeremy told Podsauce he has a blast hosting the weekly series, “Miami Mic’d Up,” and has released over 25 episodes so far, chatting with sports folks each episode. Previous guests featured Power Forward for The Miami Heat, Jimmy Butler, Point Guard for The Miami Heat, Tyler Herro, The Florida Panthers, and 2nd Baseman for The Miami Marlins, Jazz Chisholm Jr. The average episode run time is 45 minutes long.
Alesha and Dax appreciate the thoughtfully disarming questions Jeremy starts each podcast interview with, with conversation starters that span beyond their work. Jeremy wants episodes to feel like conversations with friends learning about one another rather than Q&A sessions. Alesha and Dax enjoyed listening to Jimmy Butler’s episode.
Later in the episode, Jeremy shared his podcast picks including “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz.” Jeremy looks up to Dan since it’s a sports show that catapults into interesting tangents on pop culture and more. Jeremy loves “All Fantasy Everything” and “Flagrant Pod.”
Lastly, Alesha shared this week’s Murder Most Foul, “Over My Dead Body: Fox Lake,” a true crime series uncovering secrets of a police officer’s life, and what happened when he turned up dead.
And that’s a wrap! See you next time, and check out all podcasts mentioned this episode below:
