What is… America’s favorite quiz show podcast? ‘Inside Jeopardy!’ brings listeners behind-the-scenes, shares gameplay analysis, and more
“Inside Jeopardy!” takes fans behind the scenes of “America’s Favorite Quiz Show” and doles out answers in weekly episodes. This series is starting just as 2 new Jeopardy! hosts were announced – Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings. Executive producer Michael Davies will co-host the podcast with episodes dropping this August.
It’s the ultimate fan podcast for detailed gameplay analysis, inside stories from Jeopardy!’s producers, news, announcements, interviews, and much more. Listeners will hear from champions, celebrity super-fans, and veterans from Jeopardy!’s community.
This season, you’ll also hear a rundown of the contestants invited for a Second Chance to be a Jeopardy! Champion. Michael will also share future plans for Jeopardy!, such as an Honors award show and a Jeopardy! Masters league for TV or on a streaming platform.
In addition to the podcast, Jeopardy! will provide daily, 3-minute recaps from the day’s games, posted to their website, social media, and more, according to this note from Davies.
After Jeopardy!’s host and executive producer Alex Trebek passed away in November 2020, finding new hosts was not the easiest task. Ken will begin hosting Season 39 this September. He will also host the “Second Chance” competition and Tournament of Champions with returning players like Amy Schneider, Ryan Long, Matt Amodio, and Mattea Roach – just to name a few.
Jeopardy! is now in repeat mode for summer, and instead of simply rerunning shows, Davies and the show’s producers selected 6 weeks of their favorite episodes. They’ve included very close games, super-champions, and repeat contestants who will eventually join the “Second Chance” competition.
Mayim will host Celebrity Jeopardy! and will take the reins from Ken in January. In addition, she will host some tournaments and the “Jeopardy! National College Championship.”
