Sisters and hosts Tyrella Slemp and Tori Tobi take a lighthearted approach to true crime on “Killer Queens: A True Crime Podcast.” Their show’s description says the hosts are like if Cher Horowitz met Dolly Parton, there’s a love child, and what would follow if that person met Bill Kurtis. This series covers unsolved murders, serial killers, missing persons cases, and many more true crimes.

Since 2017, the duo has released over 200 episodes to stream in any order. Stream 2-part episodes on cases like the unsolved murder of Susan Powell in chronological order. Susan was a 29-year-old that did not show up to work after dropping her sons off to daycare in 2009. She was never seen or heard from again.

Earlier this year, a 2-part episode detailed the ongoing Murdaugh murder cases. On June 7, 2021, Alex Murdaugh arrived home in Colleton County, South Carolina and found his wife and youngest son shot dead. The family was a prominent clan in South Carolina and the cases got significant press, hitting national news.

This media storm brought attention to the slew of crimes and illicit behavior the Murdaugh family has been involved in over the years, including several deaths and millions of dollars of theft. The media has unearthed new information about the Murdaughs, revealing that the family successfully covered up crimes by using their power, prestige, and name to live above the law. In the 2 episodes, Tyrella and Tori examine the Murdaugh family and explore who targeted Maggie and Paul Murdaugh.

On other recent episodes, hear about cases like the Hi-Fi Murders, David Crespi (arrested for murdering his twin daughters), Ezra Mccandless (convicted murderer), and missing person Lauren Spierer who was last seen leaving her friend’s apartment in 2011.

Tyrella and Tori covered Charles Manson and his cult-like group that he influenced. On August 9, 1969, a housekeeper found 5 dead bodies in a Benedict Canyon, Beverly Hills home. The victims included actress Sharon Tate, and the next night, a couple was murdered in their LA home. Investigators connected the 2 crimes. We’ll learn more about Manson’s chilling persona and grisly murders in these 2 episodes.
