Hillary Clinton, Chris Cuomo, and more newsmakers join ‘On with Kara Swisher’ for heavy-hitting conversations
“Silicon Valley’s most feared and well-liked journalist” Kara Swisher is back with another interview podcast. With similarities to her popular shows “Recode Decode,” “Sway,” “HBO’s Succession Podcast,” and “Pivot,” “On with Kara Swisher” sits down with newsmakers for deep-diving conversations. Episodes tackle news and share insight on politics, business, and technology.
Kara has previously interviewed guests like Bill Gates, Elon Musk, President Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, Kim Kardashian, and Stacey Abrams – just to name a few. On this podcast, Kara “gets to the heart of what makes powerful people tick” and shares her own opinions and advice.
Kara enjoys asking smart people difficult questions. On the first episode, Kara and her executive producer, Nayeema Raza, talked about the news and newsmakers Kara is closely watching. They discussed Google CEO Sundar Pichai, journalist Christiane Amanpour, and more.
Kara shared her takes on the Dilbert cartoon drama and offered some advice on covering celebrity sext scandals. Later in episode 1, former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo joined Kara to discuss his departure from the network, his podcast “The Chris Cuomo Project,” and a new series on NewsNation.
Kara interviewed Hillary Clinton on the second episode that was taped at The Texas Tribune Festival. This interview is the 5th since they first chatted in 2015. Kara shares which of Clinton’s past Trump predictions have come to light. They talked about Hillary’s Democratic Party role, the midterm elections, the emails, and what could happen if Trump runs for president in 2024. Kara compared Clinton’s email situation to Trump’s hidden documents at Mar-a-Lago, and Hillary said: “I have testified for 11 hours. I would love to see Donald Trump testify for 30 minutes in public about any of this.”
“On with Kara Swisher” is presented by New York Magazine and Vox Media Podcast Network. New episodes are posted Mondays and Thursdays wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.
