Rob is diving into never-before-heard stories and talking about his history leading up to executing the world’s most wanted terrorist.
Start the podcast from episode 1 to hear Rob’s background, especially if you’re just learning his story for the first time. The series launched this August with podcast episodes running less than an hour on average.
Rob was also involved in rescue missions for “Lone Survivor” Marcus Luttrell and Somali pirate abductee Captain Richard Phillips. On the podcast, Rob recapped his life’s story to set the stage for future episodes. Did you know he almost joined the Marine Corps but wound up in the Navy because he was in a hurry?
Rob also explained why he started the podcast – he is thrilled to candidly share on his own platform and said his wife Jessica might also join episodes.
Listeners will hear Rob’s experiences dating back to early swim practice in Montana Tech’s pool, training with friends from the service, what he learned at Navy boot camp, and stories about people he met along the way. You can tell that Rob is also a motivational speaker when he shares advice on the podcast for anyone thinking about joining the Navy. He encourages all to ask questions, study history, and learn from books like Richard Marcinko’s Rogue Warrior.
Rob detailed how he prepared for the Navy and completed the SEAL training test – a rigorous format complete with swim strokes, push-ups, sit-ups, dead hang pull-ups, and a 1.5 mile run. He talked about his instructors and the skills he learned ranging from sewing to sniper training, guarding, and much more.
