Independent journalist and self-identifying no-coiner Laura Shin presents “Unchained,” a podcast about crypto and how Web 3.0 is changing the world. Crypto and blockchain technology have revolutionized traditional money moves in the digital age, as well as how we approach identity, financial services, and the Internet of Things.

In episodes, Laura will speak with pioneers and industry experts about crypto, the changing financial landscape, how we use money, invest, and more.

Since 2016, this podcast has released over 300 episodes that can be streamed in any order. New, semiweekly episodes clock in at an hour on average and often share business news in addition to conversations on topics like Intellectual Property Rights and understanding legal issues with NFTs, bridge security, laws regarding hacking, CryptoPunks, and more.

On a recent episode of Podsauce, “The Coin Bureau” host Guy Turner shared his podcast picks including “Unchained.” Guy also enjoys learning more about crypto from shows like “Bankless” and takes a break from finance with the series “Stuff They Don’t Want You To Know.”

In time for tax season, 2 crypto tax experts and certified public accountants joined an episode on handling crypto taxes, NFTs, airdrops, and more. In a recent “Unchained” episode, policy experts from Haun Ventures and Christoff and Co. discussed how the crypto industry is working in Washington and what steps can be taken to inform regulators and politicians about the technology. They also discussed why crypto Twitter’s disrespect toward regulators is a poor business decision.

In March, an episode explored crypto’s role in the Russia-Ukraine war. Illia Polosukhin, co-founder of NEAR Protocol, and George Kikvadze, executive vice chairman at BitFury Group, discussed crypto’s popularity in Ukraine, ways to donate to the war in crypto, and why Patreon blocked donations to the NGO Come Back Alive.

If you’re interested in learning more about crypto, check out Laura’s book, The Cryptopians: Idealism, Greed, Lies, and the Making of the First Big Cryptocurrency Craze. While writing the book, Laura found leads and uncovered who she believes was responsible for 2016’s DAO attack on Ethereum, a major crypto whodunnit. Laura spoke at TEDx San Francisco, the International Monetary Fund, the Oslo Freedom Forum, and Singularity University.

“Unchained” is for anyone interested in learning more about business, crypto, and all things Web3. Tune in for new episodes wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.
