From Realm comes “Orphan Black: The Next Chapter,” based on the Emmy Award-winning sci-fi thriller series that ran for five seasons. Starring Tatiana Maslany, this podcast continues where the TV series left off and invites listeners back to Clone Club. When a group of women found out they were clones, their lives were upended, and they were placed in great danger. The clones searched for more of their sisters after learning the clone operation was part of an experiment. The TV show and this podcast follow the clones from all walks of life and the challenges they face when combatting science and corporations that treated and monitored their lives as experiments.

The podcast, “Orphan Black: The Next Chapter,” is in now its second season, and we recommend tuning in from season one, episode one to catch up on the drama. This series features 3D-audio, so plug in headphones to be fully immersed in the experience. Episode length ranges from 30 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes long, with new episodes posted weekly.

In the first season, listeners are reminded that it has been 8 years since the clone operation, Project LEDA, was destroyed, yet they are still facing protests. Cosima, the clone who is also a scientist, makes new discoveries in the first few episodes and learns about GRIT’s motives. By season 1, episode 4, they call an emergency clone club meeting. Young LEDA clone Charlotte is very ill, and we hear why ex-cop Art Bell is in danger. The clone club has been infiltrated and they work together to ward off threats and stay safe.

In the second season, listeners catch up with suburban parents Donnie and clone Alison who have just started filming for a reality TV show. We’ll also hear what characters Felix, Kira, Delphine, and CIA agent Vivi are up to this season.

On the TV show and on the podcast, Maslany plays several Project LEDA clones including Sarah Manning, Alison Hendrix, Cosima Niehaus, Helena, and Rachel Duncan. This season, listeners will also meet new clone characters.
