Nourish your spirit on ‘Dropping Gems with Devi Brown,’ giving us a soft place to land every week
Devi Brown is dropping gems in her podcast “Dropping Gems with Devi Brown.” Through ancient and modern practices, she provides a soft place to land after a long day. Focused on healing, emotional growth, spiritual wellbeing, and radical self-love, Devi guides us through meditations and affirmations in her podcast.
Back after a recent hiatus, “Dropping Gems with Devi Brown” has released nearly 70 episodes since 2019. Episodes are typically 45 to 60 minutes long and can be listened to in any order.
In her first episode after her hiatus, Devi spoke about leaving social media. Well, not leaving it entirely. She, like most of us, was feeling the effects of social media and often found herself mindlessly scrolling through endless posts. She was finding little joy in it and decided that she needed a break from it all. Instead of deleting her apps or accounts, though, she merely unfollowed everybody on every platform. From the people she met once at a party 10 years ago to her best friends. That way, when she found herself mindlessly opening the app, there was nothing to see in her feed, only her own posts.
In the meantime, she reflected. She thought about what a social media presence meant and if what she was posting was really for herself. Instead of taking pictures for her Instagram, she began taking candid pictures of her friends throughout her daily life. She’s still processing what social media means to her, starting to slowly follow back the people whose lives she does want to see.
In her episodes, she reads affirmations and guides us through her meditative processes. She tells us that on this season of “Dropping Gems with Devi Brown,” she wants to dive into divine masculinity and femininity, psychedelics, plant based medicine, alchemy as a way to transmute trauma and energy, cannabis, and more. Also, every episode she will be having listeners connect with an affirmation card, soul work, and chakra points.
Devi’s podcast has been joined by a wide range of guests, from former NFL players to doctors to healers and authors. Former NFL player Ryan Mundy spoke about quitting football, something that consumed every aspect of his life up until retirement, and finding a way to fill that space. She’s been joined Dr. Rosales-Meza to talk about ancestral trauma and healing.
Devi is an educator, author, founder of Karma Bliss, a founding board member of the Mental Wealth Alliance, and so much more. Her voice is so calming that her show nearly feels like an ASMR podcast. “Dropping Gems with Devi Brown” is grounding, inspiring, and resonant.
