Life, love, and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ obsessions: ‘Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad’ is a podcast for modern women
Titled after their joint love for Grey’s Anatomy, “Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad” has evolved far past what it once was. While they’re still talking all about their favorite shows and boy troubles, they’ve been tackling tougher dilemmas that life throws at many of us.
Relatable, funny, and easy to listen to, this podcast is looking at what it means to be a modern woman and all of the highs, lows, and reality TV shows (and stars) that come with it.
“Scrubbing In” has been going strong since 2017, having released over 250 episodes in that time. Start streaming this podcast in any order – there is no correct way to listen! Episodes of “Scrubbing In” typically clock in at 50 minutes a piece and are released on Tuesdays.
You may recognize Becca from her time on The Bachelor’s season 19 (Chris Soules) and 20 (Ben Higgins). She has moved far beyond the reality television show, becoming an influencer with over 1 million followers on Instagram.
And you may recognize Tanya’s voice, as she is the co-host of On Air with Ryan Seacrest on LA’s KIIS-FM radio station. The two are best friends, Grey’s Anatomy fanatics, and sharing their lives, experiences, and opinions with all of us.
In every episode, like any good podcast, they talk all about recent happenings in their lives, pop culture, and the news. They touch on a little bit of everything in different episodes: friendships, relationships, health, careers, breakups, and major life changes.
In a recent episode, the two chatted about the evolution of Kourtney Kardashian’s happiness and what people can learn from it. They talked about how she is thriving in her 40s after years of seeming miserable on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Fans have noticed that Kourtney has seemed so much happier than in the past, which Becca and Tanya say is an important message from the bombardment of messaging telling us that we need to find success and happiness by a certain point in her life.
They dive into a conversation about how it’s never too late to do anything, whether it’s pivot or start a new career, start a family, get a degree, or start a new relationship. They talk about the inadvertent peer pressure that many people, especially women, feel to “keep up” with a certain timeline.
The two are also frequented by guests on their podcast, often people we’ve seen on television in one way or another. They recently had on actress Katie Lowes to talk all about Inventing Anna, working with Shonda Rhimes, and choosing to only date actors. Katie played Rachel DeLoache Williams in the new Netflix series Inventing Anna all about our favorite fraudster Anna Sorokin.
She also talks all about her husband Adam Shapiro, how the two balance each other out, and how they’ve kept their passion for each other throughout their 16 years together (10 of which they’ve been married). They’ve also had on Kaitlyn Bristowe, Love Is Blind‘s Giannina Gibelli, Coach Monica from Cheer, Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy of Dancing with the Stars, and Hannah Brown.
Listening to this podcast feels like a weekly sit-down with your best friends to catch up. Becca and Tanya’s friendship has kept people coming back for years, so why not give it try? Be sure to check out “Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad” for you new podcast obsession.
