‘We Need 2 Talk’ hosts chat about the real reason why ‘Ted Lasso’ is so popular

In Podsauce’s web exclusive, Alesha and Dax chatted with Kristy and K from the podcast, “We Need 2 Talk.” It’s a light, drama-free show started in quarantine by friends and TV bingers who want you to watch, listen along, and join their fun.

Kristy had a TV blog for 6 years. When she changed jobs, she took a break from blogging and wanted to get into podcasting. She missed her fans and talking to people about TV and pop culture. K and Kristy are long-time friends who both watch a ton of TV. They knew collaborating on a podcast would be a great way to spend time together and voice their opinions on shows.

Every week, Kristy and K start episodes with a cocktail and they share what they’re watching. Alesha tunes in for their Ted Lasso episodes! Alesha and Kristy disagree with fans saying the second season fell into a sophomore slump. Kristy shared her thoughts about Ted Lasso, the real reason why it’s super-popular, and how everyone needs to watch it. As a huge fan, Dax wanted to talk about the Friends reunion, and loved hearing Kristy and K’s relatable perspectives on the show.

Kristy and K aren’t shy to disagree with each other. K was not a fan of the Cinderella remake with Camila Cabello, while Kristy loved it. K sometimes gets hate mail over her opinions. Alesha and Dax both enjoyed the remake and remixes of its soundtrack. Kristy and K also disagree over shows like Love Island and Bachelor Nation.
